Copyright and Takedown Policy

How to submit copyright complaints and how DecaTrend handles repeat infringement.

These documents are implementation-informed drafts, not legal advice. Replace placeholders and have North Carolina counsel review them before public launch.

Rights responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to all uploaded media, music, footage, images, captions, prompts, likenesses, and platform posts.

DMCA notice

To submit a copyright complaint, send a notice to [email protected] with: your physical or electronic signature, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the material to be removed, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice to [email protected] with your signature, identification of the removed material, your contact information, consent to jurisdiction in [placeholder-court], and a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.

Repeat infringers

DecaTrend may terminate or restrict accounts that repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly subject to valid infringement complaints.
